Subject: My Father was a door gunner and he dosnt' have much time left

Dear Sir
My name is Peter Burgett and my Fathers'name is David Mathew Burgett, and I want to know if anyone anywhere has any info on him as a friend
or fellow combatant. He was a door gunner and and had some great
stories to tell. I know he had a sign that said "THIS PAD BELONGS TO
THE PAPA GATER". I will find out what unit he was in when I get a
chance. He is a man that does not need sympathy or charity, he only
needs to be recognized for his duty in Vietnam. I was in the Corps and proud of my service to my country but it was nothing compared to what my Father and the rest you went through. No one gave you a cheer when you got home like the cake walk of "Dessert Storm"; you were called baby killers and murderers. Only those who were there know what happened. He has Lou Gherigs disease and does not have much time. I only wish I had found this web sight earlier.
