On 27 Aug 1950, an OY-2 (BuNo 03391) from VMO-6 crashed while on a spotting mission. The pilot, 1st Lt Davis, was critically injured. His observer, 2nd Lt Patrick G. Sivett was also injured and both were evacuated to Pusan. 1st Lt Davis died from his injuries on 6 Sept.
