Certs

Good find. Nice for the "I love me wall." Too bad they use a generic signature

Very nice find

Though I've only visited a couple of times since I became a member, I find some of the info very gratifying.

After my discharge, Dec 69 I kind of abandoned the service and my Marine Corps Past. Now I'm becoming more interested in what has become of my Marine Corps Friends, and what I did.

Unfortunately, my first divorce helped eliminate most of my memorabilia, so having some of the certificates on my "I love me wall" would be a nice addition to my collection. I've tried, without success to petition the Corps for a copy of my Honorable Discharge Certificate, and though I don't much care who signed it it will add validity to my display.

In my quest to find validation of certain Medals and Accomplishments I also discovered the the Marine Corps, though listed in my Service Record Book, and my DD214, informs me that it has no record of a citation of my Air Medal.

Is there any way that I can produce documentation of this Award? My Service Record Book lists my Air Missions, (22), dates, and Call Names, but they can not find any documentation of issuing the citation.

During the time I should have received it, I was reassigned from HMM 164 to TAD to HMM 163 in Marble Mountain in June or July of 1968. HMM 164 was divided into two seperate groups, one going to Quang Tri and the other staying at Marble Mountain. We had just come off the USS Valley Forge, where I crewed my last flight mission.

Any help or suggestions for correcting this problem would be greatly appreciated.
