This will take you back to the "good ol' days". I remember the B-1's and B-2's.

I truly loved that pound cake and pecan roll !! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

This site will bring back memories of our C-Ration days.

a couple more. take the pound cake, remove from can, cut in half, insert jelly, replace in can, heat over fire. yum. white bread was good when a few drops of water is placed in open can and then placed over fire. the pecan nut roll was in the lima beans and ham. my personal favorite. i made, a very popular, stove from an ammo can filled with rocks and sand. a few oz of avgas, a grid, and a match gets things going.

K rats ???

I can remember all those goodies. Maybe we weren't the greatest culinary experts.,but we could be creative.
Was wondering if anyone remembered the larger cartons of "K"s that were delivered to units in the field. They were supposed to have a "carton" of cigarettes included.
The cases had always been opened & the smokes missing. The grunts always blamed the chopper crews for swiping them.
