On this date 62 years ago I reported to 8th & I St in DC & was placed on a train to PI SC. Also in April 1945, 59 years ago was shipped to Okinawa for that final Battle. Than on 2 April 1949, 55 years ago my Son David was born on the base at Cherry Pt NC. April has been an important date for me. SF PM
