Words of Comfort, Hope and Promise

The YMCA of Orange County is partnering with Words of Comfort, Hope and Promise serving those in the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, to bring some holiday joy to our military families. The holiday season can be an especially difficult time for our troops overseas, so with your help and support, we would like to collect as many donations as possible and send our troops a taste of home during this holiday season!

Moffett YMCA will be collecting donations for the troops and making care packages to send oversees. Donations will be accepted from October 14th to November 12th. Peterson Elementary School will host a stocking stuffing event before the gifts are shipped off to the troops.

Requested Donations

• Starbucks Via® coffees – our troops' favorite!
• Peanut Butter (or cheese) & Crackers snack packs
• Cup of Noodles® or Easy Mac® Macaroni & Cheese
• Starkist® Tuna & Crackers snack packs
• Chewing gum
• Assorted bags of nuts (individual snack packs)
• Dried fruits/Raisins (individual snack packs)
• Cheez-Its® or Cracker Jacks® (individual snack packs)
• Trail Mix (individual snack packs)

• Nature Valley® Sweet & Salty Peanut bars
• Gatorade Propel® dry powder packets for water bottles
