I was looking for something else and found this link to VMO-6. A friend of mine was with VMO-6 as a door gunner in either 67-68 or 68-69. his name was E.B. Richards, nickmanes "Sarge" and "Rich". He died at the Va Atlanta hospital 8 March 2008 from complications of agent orange, luekemia, and pneumonia. He was an orphan and I never knew if he had any family at all besides his "brother" Marines. Shortly after I meet him in late 84, he told me to get ot the VA since I had probelms. Va finally
diagonsed me with PTSD 2 years ago and that is why I am searching for records and names of persons in my Nam units as an air controller with MATCU-68, HMM-163 and some others. If any of the membership remembers Rich they should klnow he was Gung-Ho Marine to the end. his ashes are intered at Georgia National Cemetary Canton, Ga.

E.B. Richards

Was unable to locate an enlisted Marine: E. B. Richards in the 68-69 cruise book. This Marine may have served in the 67-68 era.

God bless him and his country thanks him for his service.
