Gentlemen,
I am going to be the Events Coordinator for the Toys for Tots program next year (Provided I'm not deployed).
I have talked to our CO about painting one of our UH-1N's in Christmas markings for next year. He is open to the idea, but can't promise anything.
What I need are ideas for the markings. They obviously must be Christmas related, and we would like to have the Toys For Tots logo on there as well.
Submissions must be received by June 30 2004.
You will not be paid for your design This is strictly voluntary. You will be rewarded by having the bragging rights (I designed that!)
There is no gaurantee the markings will actually be applied to one of our helo's. Operational and maintenance commitments will dictate this.
Artwork submissions must be submitted by .jpeg file to my USMC email address:
The artwork can be drawn on paper and scanned, drawn in a computer program, or applied to a model and photographed.
For information on the Toys for Tots program, and a good look at the logo, please see the web site:
Thank you,
Dave

I think 3159 picture is the 1969 bird. Billy Blair sent in some pics of the 1970 Christmas bird.
R.T. is right, it is the 69 bird. Billy Blairs pictures #123, 136, 140 572, 1955 and 3144 are the 70 xmas bird. I had the night crew at the time and the guy looking over the work in pic #140 is me!!
