Dear Board Members,
My name is Mary Lehner, and I am principal at Isaac Newton Christian Academy, located at 1635 Linmar Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402. We have 235 students in grades pre-school through eighth grades, from 40 congregations and 14 local school districts. We are celebrating 16 years of education in the Cedar Rapids area. We are accredited by the state of Iowa, and we are members of Christian Schools International.

One of the founders of our school is former Board member and past-president, Ken Kolek. His brother, Captain David Lee Kolek, served in the USMC as a member of the combat marine air crew. As you may know, Captain Kolek passed away last August.

His family has provided for a flagpole memorial in David's name. The dedication will be Friday, May 5, 8:45 am at our school.
We invite you to attend the ceremony. If you know of anyone in the local area, we invite them to attend. (Cedar Rapids is about 2 hours northeast of Des Monies and 1.5 hours northwest of Davenport).
