Wally,

My wife saw this great tribute and asked me to pass the link along to my VMO-3 buddies. I thought I would go one better and pass it along to all my brothers of Popasmoke. We may not have received the proper "homecoming" from the general population back in the 60's, but the people who were the closest to us didn't forget - and they were really the only ones who were important anyway. I hope everyone enjoys this tribute, especially as we celebrate Memorial Day this year and remember all those who have, and are, serving this great country.

Jim: Please send this to VM-03 along with my comments.

Dear VM-03:

This clip touched my heart so much, I can barely breathe. Yes, I live with a Vietnam Vet, but will never be able to fully comprehend the sacrifices and the suffering you went through to keep us, (United States) free.

I saw a Vietnam Vet at the corner stop light the other day, with his sign and although I didn't have any money on me at the time (I'm an ATM type of girl), I did take the opportunity to talk to him until the light turned green. He shook my hand as I was driving away and said thank you. Imagine that, a Vet telling me thank you?

All of you - so willing to step forward for us. To just say "Thank You" seems so inadequate, but please know that it truly comes from deep within my heart. On this Memorial Day weekend, we Americans need to sit down, watch this clip and really appreciate our freedom. Thank you for being there.
