JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — About 200 members of a Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C.-based squadron returned from Iraq early Sunday morning.
Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269, known as the “Gunrunners,” arrived at the air station around 1 a.m. Sunday, following a seven-month deployment, an air station spokeswoman said.
During a trip to Iraq earlier this month, President Bush visited the squadron at Al Asad Air Base.
