Friends of "Brothers At War,"

"Brothers At War" has been the most terrifying, soul searching, and gratifying thing I have ever done. Through it all, I have tried to hold the mirror up to nature, or rather put the frame around it as it happened in front of me.

I started this film for my brother Isaac, and for his daughter, Hunter, so that if he fell in battle, she would know who her father was. I finished it for the guys I met along the way.

Now, I am invigorated by the positive impact I've seen it have on audiences. This week, the film received a standing ovation at Fort Hood Texas by the over 800 soldiers and families present. Both LTG Rick Lynch and CSM Neil Ciotola stood in front of the crowd afterwards and said I did not just tell my family's story, I told their story.

Because so many have said it captures camaraderie, what their life is like in Iraq, and after relating so much truth... just steps away without all the political commentary, I think there is an opportunity for the film to be the necessary bridge which will allow us to reconnect with our war fighters and for them to tell their important story.

Now I need your help. Please send an email blast to all your friends about the film. Personally contact your friends in our opening markets and urge them to go to see the film on opening weekend. The future of this film and its ability to impact the legacy of our nation's warriors and their families will hinge on the turnout on opening weekend at the 20 cities we are opening in.

Those cities are:

If your city is on the list, please make an event out of going to the theater with your friends and organizations. In Columbus, Ranger Joe's is supporting a number of young rangers and their wives by buying them a ticket to "Brothers At War." In Monterey, 25 Blue Star Moms are driving 90 miles to celebrate the opening of the film together. I will try to make it out as much as possible to watch the film with our service members and their families. On March 13th and 14th, Gary Sinise, Norman Powell and Dave Scantling will travel with me to celebrate the film's opening in Columbus, GA and Fayetteville, NC, with the soldiers and their families. Dave, Norman, and I will then travel to Jacksonville to celebrate with the Marines and their families. Gary will head to NYC where he will be appearing on at least 5 nationally televised shows to do his part to get the word out about the film.

"This is a documentary that celebrates the courage and integrity of the American Soldier and the American military family. It is also a film about a man's love and respect for his two brothers and his dedication to telling their story. A great film that I am proud to be a part of," said Gary Sinise, Actor, Presidential Citizens Medal Recipient, Executive Producer of "Brothers at War."

John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting will also being doing his part, after writing and performing an amazing original song, "Brothers in Arms" to play for the first time during the end credits of "Brothers at War." John will be doing a national radio tour to help get the word out.

There are two ways which you can help us spread to more cities. First, by making sure that every city we open in is as successful as possible!

If we pack the theaters, the film will stay in each of these communities and Samuel Goldwyn Films will expand the release because of the demand and box office performance. Please email blast your friends, feel free to request movie posters to hang up around town, and post cards to hand out by emailing your request to BAWrequests@thundertech.com and notify all local media and veterans groups with which you have a relationship your feelings about this film.

Members of the media can contact Monique Sondag, Monique@lovell-fairchild.com, 214-536-4319, to set up an interview or receive the "Brothers at War" press packet. Raising local awareness and rallying local support is essential to the film finding its audience.

The second way to bring the film to your town is to create a task force to bring "Brothers at War" to your community. Go to www.brothersatwarmovie.com to learn how you can rally your community to bring "Brothers at War" to your local movie theater. Samuel Goldwyn Films just requires a minimum purchase of 1,000 movie tickets so that all the costs of making and sending the print, etc will be covered by audience turnout. You can find out how others have been doing this as organizations or individuals to support the film at www.brothersatwarmovie.com.

While the laughter, the tears, and the standing ovations with which the film has been greeted are deeply gratifying, the real reward is the thank you from a Gold Star mother, the tears that come from a battle-hardened warrior trying to relate what the film means to him-feedback I've received from warriors and their families about the impact the film has had on their healing process. Now people can see why I think the best part of my generation is currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their deeds inspire me. I hope that we can all admire those who pull from deep within and strive mightily for something greater than themselves. I am humbled by what I have witnessed.

Thank you for your support of "Brothers at War," our military families, and our warriors who have taken the field on our behalf. Thank you for helping me to tell their truth.

Your friend,

Jake Rademacher
