A day in the life

Not bad at all Wally! This could've taken place 40-30-20-10 years ago at anyplace Marines fly/flew helicopters! A Day In the Life (with apologies to Lennon and McCartney) well describes what we all did. The names and locale would be different, but the song remains the same! Glad the press had the cojones to try it out, even if it was a "milk run".
I remember one of those (milk runs) to get mail in Da Nang.....ended up getting shot down with a lucky round through the compressor.....Harry Whidden and I did the engine change on a stretcher routine and spent the night in our racks in Phu Bai that night, but could've been different....glad it wasn't.
