July 15, 1968: Team "Dublin City" Surrounded with 1 kia , 1 wia and no way out. We were eventually extracted with a cable jump seat, two at a time. I will never forget the feeling of that helo gunner grabbing my pack and shoulders and dragging me into that chopper while we were under fire. Both guns from the chopper were blazing. We were surrounded by 25-30 (confirmed) NVA . Never thought we would make it out alive.

You guys saved our hides.
