Does anyone have info on 34's downed and retrieved during Hastings in july of 66Probably from 161,163 or 263. Jarusinsky@sbcglobal.net

I don't believe any 263's birds were lost in that op, I patched a lot of battle damage though. 😑

Iwas a member of 161 at that time and I believe that one was downed just north west of Hue. If I remember correctly the engine was shot out from underneath it.

Operation Hastings

I was aboard YR-18 from HMM-161 when we took over 400 hits from a mortar round that went off next to us. We were able to fly out of the area and all survived. This was 20 July 1966.....
