A number of us who were involved in the rescue and rescue attempts of a SOG Team (Flatfoot) and helicopter crews Jolly Green 26, a Kingbee, and an Army UH-1C in Laos in November 1967 are looking for more participants, especially some of the Marine gunship guys. Late on the afternoon of the 9th, a Marine gunship landed and extracted Capt. Gerry Young, USAF, the pilot of JG-26. Gerry later received the Medal of Honor for his attempt to rescue the survivors of Team "Flat foot". We want to brief the mission at a SAR reunion and perhaps collaborate on a book. If you were on one of the gunships, would you join in?
Thanks!
