In H&MS-16, MAG-16 at Marble Mountain during that year, surely something had to happen there? Is there anybody who experienced the TET assaults during '68 from that unit? Is it possible to find out who we lived and worked with if our memories fade us?
In several years of searching, I am still looking for a name or face or picture of the area I worked in, etc...For the longest time I thought, it must have been a dream...there is nothing out there.
I would appreciate leads that can produce some finds...Just north of the flight line in the enlisted huts...right off the main N.-S. road in MAG - 16 It would be nice to contact someone who experienced the rocket and mortar attacks that hit right around us during that year.
I am at a loss for direction on where to go next...thanks for whatever you can provide for me...i have a few other posts offering more information about my own experiences there.

thanks again.

MMAF hootch area

I know that the below is a pretty poor pic. I attempted to blow it up from a cut & paste out of a larger overhead view of MMAF.

The black area is the north end of the flight line. The first horizontal road to the north of the flight line is the southern boundary
road of the hootch area. There is an area of warehouses just to the right of a dark flight line road to the left. Next to the right
is a very faint vertical road bordering the enlisted hootch area to the right.

In my 13 months at Marble, I lived in two hootches. The absolute last on the corner adjacent to the warehouses (SW corner of
hootch area) and the second hootch north of the corner on the faint vertical road, when I made Sgt. Both of these hootches
faced the warehouses to the west.

I lived in these hootches from late April '67 to May '68.

...... and I do have some stories on the above mentioned subject.

HMH-463 had enlisted folks in this south end of the hootch area.

The second pic is a much better image showing the enlisted hootch area, south end.

The two I lived in are easily seen in the upper left corner, adjacent to the warehouse area.

Mmaf '67-'68

Although I flew in and out on many missons prior to theese dates, I was stationed there with HMM-165 from about September '68 to December '68 when I rotated to conus. There are many photos on this site under MMAF showing the aea from many different years during the conflict.
