Looking for fellow Marines who served with me at Marble Mtn May 65 till June 66. I was a cpl working in the Avionics shop at that time . A few names that come to mind Dolman, Moose, Sgt Riechart, Briene.

HI. Homesteader here. You might just be the guy I replaced. I came in country Aug.66. Check my Icon and you can see the old avionics shop with the VC total you guys racked up by the time I got there. When I first got there I wondered why there were para pits on the line. After a few rocket attacks I knew why, But ironically during one such attack I ran for a pit, stumbled and rolled to the outside of it. Thank God,for the rocket exploded inside it. Welcome to Nam.
I was trying to recall a tall slender guy who was very quiet. He would just grunt unless he had something very necessary to say. He was a short-timer when I got there. I think his name might have been Gary. Turned out we shared the same birthday exactly and then we became a lot closer. He taught me a lot about the ASE. He left too soon for me because the unit was close knit and didn't take to outsiders (those after the VC attacks). It took a while but things got better with all the new guys coming in, I felt like an old timer. Boy that took some brain cell excitation. Memories are vague.
Well that is an introduction to my time in country. If you know "Gary" please let me know. I sure would like to talk with him. If you would like to write, please do. JJD

Well, I'll be danged! Your Avatar sure brought back memories.

i was in that Avionics Shop in '67 working on the TACAN bench.

Bernie O'Dell was also there when I was and we recently swapped
some stories about our time there. Including about the OIC, "Shakey Jake".
