YZ-75 145779 after lifting out with five Medevacs,struck a tree outside Khe Sanh on 27 June 1967 and settled into a small clearing 300 yards west of the Medevac zone .

The Helicopter remained upright although the blades and transmission were severely damaged. A defensive perimeter was established and YZ-76 148816, rescued the crew and Medevacs after a few shuttles under heavy fire.
