I was the window gunner that was hit on this mission at the DMZ. I was hit by two rounds one thru andthru the right chest. Lost my right arm at the shoulder as a result. Since that day almost 38 years ago I've been looking for the Crew Chief on that flight. Cpl. Russell? No first name I have pictures of him.
He came to sick bay the next day to give me his Air Crew wings that I cherish.
Thanks see you all in RENO !

Also, the second aircraft was YZ-64 we took 4 rounds I caught 2 of them. But you know how it is you can't kill a Marine that easy.
Marion Sturkey spoke of this in his book.
