At 1200H on 24 June 1967 a UH-34D YZ-6 2 /148058 , from the LUCKY RED LIONS of HMM-363 encountered engine difficulties while on a resupply mission to 881 South near Khe Sanh.

The Pilot was forced to shut down the helicopter at 881 South and it was externalled back to Dong Ha by a CH-53 later that afternoon
