I was over there in 67 and 68. I flew alot with Yantis and Brubaker. I'm trying to locate Dozier from Texas. Does anyone know the whereabouts of SSGT. Yeager from H&MS at Phu Bai?

OLD BUDDIES

I'm not sure but I think Dozier"s first name is Kenneth. We seldom used first names over there. In my last month (grounded for being a short-timer) while I was in H&MS SSGT Yeager was over me in the carburator rebuild shop. He would always get a few of us together and record us singing.
Is there a way of obtaining a list of names that served in HMM-362 during 67 and 68? I cannot remember too many that was in my outfit since I spent most of my time with Ken and Joe. I remember their faces but not their names. I must be getting old.

I have the same problem about not remembering names. Phillip Jackson has

Glad to hear from you!! You brought up some names that I remember. I remember Taggert, I flew with him a couple of times and he got stationed either at 29 Palms or El Toro. He flew down and spent the weekend with me while I was stationed in Yuma. I remember Jorge Zuniga, I have a picture of him with me on ship. Wasn't he Yantis's gunner?
You mentioned Bird, wasn't he the one that flew with Taggert and got his leg almost blown off by a fifty?
I never made any of the reunions yet as I haven't known anything about them. I will try my best to make the next one though!!

Thanks Ed,
This helps alot. I have some pictures of Dozier and me together. I believe Brubaker crashed in 69. On the net I go to the Virtual Wall and visit them every chance I get. On this site you put in your friend's name and it brings up the location on the wall, their picture and a story of how they died. Very moving. Please keep me updated on the list.
The reunion in Reno in 2004, is that for all squadrons? I would love to attend it if it is.

Sorry for the delay.

Brubaker, Joseph died in a crash with another chopper on 960204

Yantis, Kenneth R died when they crashed into a mountain on a medivac on 680331

Yeager - only found listings for James with varying middle initials. None of them were listed as and E-6 and none carried a helicopter MOS

Dozier, Dennis D - found three listings in Texas with no middle initial. No Dennis D's listed. Two of the listings appear to be the same residence

Rowlett, Texas 75089
972-412-6387

Gilmer, Texas 75644
903-762-6958
903-762-2921

Let me know how you make out.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back with all of you but I've been swamped with work. Anyhow, I've tried contacting Phillip Jackson but to no avail. Everytime I e-mail him it keeps telling me that there is no such address. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Yes........you guys are all that old!!! Memory loss due primarily to inhalation of too much avgas fumes and that warm Ballintine beer. If you guys knew you would live this long, you should have taken better care of yourselves!!:D
