Gentlemen!
To procure the CDs from the Marine Corps Historical div you can use this FAX number. They cost nothing. It is two CDs that have the squadron's after flight reports for each month. As I understand it, these reports were filled out ( up to the flight commander ) during a support misson(s) of an operation. The 21 July to 31 July isn't on there. I guess because of the attack at Dong Ha. ???
They are CDs numbers 98 & 99
On your FAX sheet ask for " Unit File" : HMM-361
give dates ( Jan 67- Feb 68). ( The dates ,I believe, run from 66-68 on these CDs)

I used a mail/print store and it run about $2.00 for the FAX.
This cuts down in a LOT of time. I got mine back within a week.
The CDs are not easy to get a print off of them. I had to use a print shop software to copy the report(s) off of.
They make great reading and are a must if you have any dealings with VA about your personal flight(s) with 361.
Now, I wonder where I can get some reports about July 24,67?

Have you checked the records for MAG-16 or 1st MAW? CD 67 has the Command Chronology for MAG-16 (Jul 67); CD 68 has 1st MAW Command Chronology (Jul 67). The index doesn't have any After Action Reports for either unit for July 67.
Roger that, the command is there for July and After flight reports from July1-20 July. But is void after that.
I wanted to check on flights on July 24, 1967.
I saw a picture on Pop-A-Smoke that might be myself at Contein.
The patch over the "N" in Marines looks just like the one I had on YN-22. If it was several things went on during that mission. And again if it was,
that was an emergency med-evac and that hand at the door was Cpl Martin Poloski's ( The DOG). (Once when he wasn't taking pictures!) lol
