my name is Charlie Wilkins , I was a crewchief with HMM-262 in 68 & 69 , until I got shot down one night whilr flying medi-vac with Lt.Ralph Anderson. I got medically retired from the USMC at the ripe-old-age of 20,because I lost my eye sight for several years and as technology has improved and soft lense contacts became available. I have almost completely regained my eye sight.
That helicopter was flown by "Paunch" ,Don Waunch. I just recieved an email from him today, 5/22/2004. He is the Mayor of Camarillo, Calif.
In the last two weeks I have started searching for some of the guys that I flew with, I have been in contact with Cecil Newcomb , Larry Fenton , Jim Boersma , Capt.White.
