My father was very good friend with him when he was young. ROEDERER JOHN STEPHEN has been adopted very young by a very rich French family called "de Rochefort". This family spoiled him with money and gave him very poor attention. Also his adoption familly did not want to adopt his older brother. So when came his 18th birthday he left France, went back to the States, got back his US citizenship, tried to find his mother in vain and went into the Marine Corps. I know he died in Vietnam. My father (my mom told me) has been very affected by his death at the time. I found your site unexpectedly.
