Hello. Just wondering if the man standing (third from the left) could possibly be my father Joseph Kozlesky? I don't know what year the photo was taken. When I showed the photo to my dad, he pointed at the soldier and said it might be him. He wasn't sure. Here is a link to the photo:

My dad was in HMM-163, among others, but talks mostly about his time with HMM-163. Especially the time of Ashau Valley.

Joseph Kozlesky was inducted into the Combat Aircrew Roll of Honor on October 9, 1998 aboard the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point SC.

I looked at the photo and I believe that is Floyd Patterson not Hugh O'Brian.
I have a picture of Floyd when VMO2 flew him around and he has the same type of towel draped over his shoulder

Sorry I am not sure I understand your post - did you intend to leave that comment here? I did not post the photo and have no idea who Patterson or O'Brian are. Did you mean to post this comment on the photo? THANKS!

I'm not sure what you mean either.
I Looked at the photo and noticed that the man in the middle looked like Floyd Patterson the former heavy weight boxing champ. I flew Floyd around in 67.
For your info I belive the "O'Brian " being refered to is Hugh O'Brian the actor used to play Wyatt Earp on TV back in the late 50's.
Didn't mean to mix anyone up

Update regarding photo #3494.

But first and foremost I would like to make a correction regarding my use of the term 'soldier' when I should have used the more appropriate term 'marine'. I hope no one was offended. Clearly, I am a civilian daughter of a US MARINE.

Back to photo #3494. The time frame of the photo is around February 1966 to July 1966. Phu Bai.

The marine standing third from left is, in fact Crew Chief Sgt. Joseph Kozlesky (aka little joe, aka ski), (YP15) under Commanding Officer Col. House and Executive Officer Maj. Blakeman. Also not pictured is Gunner L/Cpl. Zifcak, who I mention for reference purposes.

The marine standing fourth from left has only been identified by the nickname of FROG.

The Marine known as "Frog" could only be Frog Ellis. Unfortunately he passed away a number years ago, or so I was told.

ID of crew

That looks to me like Vaugh Goodwill standing on far left, kneeling on left could be Grant Hagle.

Would you have been the Staff Sgt. in charge of crew chief qualifications? I believe my dad has a Flight Record with your signature on it.
