Former Marines from HMH-463,

We have had to change the location of the HMH-463 Squadron Dinner from the Fort Worth Plaza Hotel to the Holiday Inn North in Fort Worth. The reason for the change is the hotel closed for restoration after it's sale on March 1, 2996. The Fort Worth Plaza's Hotel catering staff been broken up and has move on to other hotels in the area. One of these hotel is the Holiday Inn North. The Holiday Inn North hotel is on JD Barber's new list of Pop-A-Smoke Reunion Hotels that he just published. JD is working with the Fort Worth Visitor & Convention Bureau to set up a shuttle that will move people from the convention center to these outlying hotels on his new hotel list so transportation should not be an issue.

I have talked to the catering manager at the Holiday Inn North and she has agreed to provide the same dinner menu at the same price as we were going to get at the Fort Worth Plaza Hotel. Based on this information the Squadron board of advisors has selected the Holiday Inn North as the location of our Squadron Reunion Dinner. It is also recommended that we use the Holiday Inn North as our Squadron hotel unless you have already made hotel reservations at another hotel.

The time is here again to start the process of setting up the HMH-463 Squadron Reunion dinner in conjunction with the 2006 USMC Combat Helicopter Association (Popasmoke) reunion to be held in Fort Worth Texas. The date for our Squadron Reunion Dinner is August 11, 2006.

We have selected the banquet facilities located in the Holiday Inn North for this years Squadron Dinner. HMH-462 folks will also be joining us for dinner that evening. The Holiday Inn North is one of several hotels that is supporting the USMC Combat Helicopter Association (Popasmoke) reunion August 10-13, 2006.

Our Squadron Dinner will be a site down affair with the doors opening at 17:30 and dinner being served at 18:30. Our dinner will be located in the Meacham Room at the Holiday Inn North . We have arranged the dinner menu so that you can select from three entree selections. These entree selections are:

- CHICKEN WELLINGTON WITH BURGUNDY WINE SAUCE
- 7 OZ NEW YORK STRIP WITH BOURBON GARLIC SAUCE
- GRILLED ATLANTIC SALMON WITH A LIGHT TARRAGON SAUCE

These entree's will be served with a
-TOSSED GARDEN GREEN SALAD WITH CHOICE OF RANCH AND BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSINGS ON TABLE
- GARLIC ENCRUSTED ROASTED POTATOES
- FRESH STEAMED GREEN BEANS, CORN AND BABY CARROTS
- WARM DINNER ROLLS WITH BUTTER

- DESSERT - ICE CREAM CAKE ROLL

- ICED TEA AND WATER SERVICE ON TABLES

- FRESHLY BREWED COFFEE OFFERED WITH DESSERT.

A pay as you go bar will also be set up in our Dinning Room for our connivance.

In addition Skip Burns has arranged to have a friend of his provide live country music(Texas Music) in the social hour before our Reunion Dinner. In return we will provide the band dinner.

Dinner Selections - The Hotel we have selected has indicated that they require advance notice for all entree dinner selections and a minimum of 65 dinners. This will require that all folks who are going to participate in the dinner make their entree selections and provide payment before July 20, 2006. At the initial Reunion Check-in at the Squadron Booth you will be provided with a colored Squadron Dinner ticket which will be used for admittance to the Squadron Dinner as well as indicating your entree selection to the servers at dinner. We need a minimum of 65 people to attend the dinner.

The cost for the Squadron Reunion Dinner and associated Squadron events is $49.00 for each person attending the Squadron Dinner. This price includes the Red, White, and Blue American Flag/USMC insignia lapel pin (See the attachment for a picture of the pin). Please select an entree of Chicken Wellington, NY Strip steak, or Grilled Salmon and send me a check in the amount of $49.00 for each person attending the dinner.
