As the result of a bet, I "googled" myself and found my membership data in total offered to any who cared to click on me.
In addition, there is a list of my contributions to the various threads in our forum, not to mention my latest thoughts on the "Osprey."
Someone is providng such information to Google and for why, I can't figure...or don't want to. Try and "google" yourself and see what is there...I've done a few other members names and sur as not, their membership is listed and whether or not their dues are current.
Go figure! Go "ggogle" yourself and see if they have you as well.

Fixed
This has been fixed. I modified the member pages on the NOTAM to only show other member's details if you are signed in. In other words, visitors will not be able to see that information. If YOU Google your own name and see the details, it might be because you're logged in to the NOTAM on that PC.
For the record, Wally, I'm going to log off "Pop A Smoke" and then go to google and I would wager that the info I was querying about is still there.

As I understand it, once you are on a search engine server you are there forever.
My attitude is that my posts are public just as my letters to the editor are.
I am proud that I have been published or quoted in everything from Flying Magazine to the The Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Those "posts" are now public information. In some cases they can now be found on a search engine.
As for name, address, and other information, much of this is available in public records.
I am required to do background checks on my employees. You should see what comes up on those! Speeding tickets!

Who give a rats behind. I would scream at the top of lungs anything I say on this forum at the intersection of RT66 and Rt85. I have nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of. Let it go. If your afraid to let your voice be heard then don't post.

Yeah, Ray, good advice. Unless someone doesn't have anything to hide. π π
