This happened February 1967 While Fox-trot, 2 Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment was located on the hill. 2 Months later over forty of the Marines under the Command of Capt. Later Major General< Gene Austin Deegan were dead that saw this crash. Thank God no-one was killed. I was always curious to know who the skipper of the chopper is at this "crash site."
