Gentlemen,

We are currently restoring the UH-1E that Stephen Pless received his Medal of Honor and we need help. Al Barbour has already sent a couple of photographs that show the gun configuration. However, we need more that show full profiles of the aircraft for locating the National Insignia and any other special markings that need to be applied. Close ups of mission markings and aircraft number locations are extremely important. It would also be helpful to talk to any/all surviving crew members to insure that this aircraft is correctly represented in the National Museum of the Marine Corps. I can be contacted M-F 0630-1500 EST at (703)784-2606/7/8 or by e-mail

starnm@nt.quantico.usmc.mil .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I live just down the road, (Stafford County). I have pictures, cruise books and have contact with the crew chief on that flight.
I'll call you in the next couple of days.
