Almost as if it were yesterday I can remember being woken by Murph(Bob Merrit) having to put my feet on deck and sign his clipboard(to cover his ass)and then walking up flight line thru HMM-161 and VMO6 to get to HMM-262 to get old 13 ready. It was so dark and quiet, then from across the runway came "reveille" followed by "we got to get outa this place". Or was it the other way around? Any other Quang Tri crewchiefs out there with better recall? It's just something that's been bugging me.
Ready APE !
Not π To many of us don't remember that Song and a few others Dale .
Like some in section 3 use to lock arms and skip across the flight line singing
{Rain drops are falling on Our Head} and of course 500 hundred milies away from home.. Back in 2001 and a couple of other reunion a HOLE GROUP of crew and Pliots broke out singing . So yes others have those thoughts too.
