A question was posted on Mutters Ridge, ie, just where in the heck was it? Any clues?
Mutters Ridge, named for 3/4's callsign, is west of Dong Ha, six clicks north of the Rock Pile. If you have a map it is basicly from grid square 9961 to 9661. It was named end of Sept. '66.

Is it possible for a civilian to obtain a USMC style map(s) of I Corps like we used to use?
Thanks.

I believe that Sgt Grit's carries them, but they are printed in Vietnamese.

Ray,
If you are planning on attending the reunion in Ft Worth send me an email and I will bring you all of the I Corps maps on a DVD. I downloaded them from Univ of Texas website Vietnam Archives.

If you want individual sheets, try this site:

They are $7-10 each. I saved some of mine from last tour. π
