Anybody have an update on Mike? I'm hesitant to call Lois.
Just got info that Mike is back home and doing as well as can be expected.
I'm sure he would look favorably on any communications that the members/friends would like to express.:)
Oh boy! More Ham 'n Muthas
Mike home
Good news, thanks. I'll call tomorrow.
Mike's Condition?
My birth-dad (Leighton S Etter) served with Mike. I think Mike was his crew chief. Leighton passed away a couple of years ago from cancer and Mike was at his funeral. I spoke to Leighton's wife, Lucy (New Orleans), and she didn't know Mike's current condition. The short time I spoke with Mike told me what type of guy he is. He impressed me with his pride and candor. I have wanted to contact him again about my dad. Anyone know how I might reach him?
"MIKE" will receive top medical care here thanks to Mr. Ross Perot, Sr.

Hi everyone,
Just a really quick note, I’ll provide details if you wish hopefully tomorrow. MOH recipient Mike Clausen can rest assure now that he will now receive the best possible care for his liver transplant!!! Mr. Perot came through to financially come to his aid.
Lois (his wife) called me to inform me that Mike Clausen IS IN DALLAS today!!!! He will be receive top medical care here thanks to Mr. Ross Perot, Sr.
I am going to visit Mike tomorrow. If any of you are in Dallas, will be in Dallas or know any Marines in Dallas, PLEASE contact me or have them contact me if they would like to pay him a visit. I don’t think that there is anything more that would make him happy to have a bunch of Marines visit him!!!

Wally, All..
You might want to post this on Mike Clausen.
Mike is now in one of the two Veterans Hospitals in Dallas, TX. Taken Monday, from
Louisiana.
I speak with his wife Lois every few days.
He has only been home once, for a few days, between September, just after the MOH Convention, and now.
He has been shuffled around between hospitals and nursing homes in Louisiana.
He was literally left to die without coverage from insurance entities, and technicalities.
A small handful of people put on a blitz of shaking the trees for some real help for Mike.
A detailed, accurate report, will be posted down the road.
Earlier this week he was taken to a real hospital in Dallas, TX, courtesy of Ross Perots private jet.
He underwent some surgery, that was required, on a long list to full recovery.
The prognosis, at this point, is REAL GOOD, for recovery.
FAR better than originally expected.
By MONDAY, I will have a phone number to Mike's new room, that will be good for at least the next few weeks.
He has had a flock of visitors, and, his spirits are high.
Lois has had the first bit, of peace of mind, in months, these last few days.
She is home in Ponchatoula, and will be getting an apartment in Dallas in a few days to be near Mike.
Best, and...Semper Fi!

Mike Clausen
Is it possible to contact Mr. Ross Perot either individually or as members of PAS as a group to extend our sincere gratitude to him for his unselfish response to help Mike Clausen in his time of need?

From Frenchy:
Marines, Friends:
Talked to Lois Clausen tonight.
Mike is now, and will be, for awhile, at:
Veterans Hospital
4500 S. Lancaster Rd.
Dallas, TX 75216
214-302-1727 ROOM 413
Things are really looking better for Mike making another Reunion.
I think he is now surviving just to spite all the Dr's that predicted his demise!
His new favorite drink is Barqs Diet Root Beer.
There is a Marine there, that brings him 2 cases, every other day.
Mikey likes it!
Prognosis is getting better by the day.
Feel free to call or write.
Lois thanks all, for your support, and your prayers.
Best to all! Semper Fi!
