Does anyone know what happened to these squardrons? I know that HMLA-775 was decommissioned in 2008 but would like to know why. I can't find anything on Mag-46 Det-A.

HMLA-775 officially deactivated 31 Oct 2008. The aircraft were used to form HMLA-467 at Cherry Point. I believe MAG-46 Det A was the active-duty component of 775. With the deactivation of 775, there wouldn't be a need for the Det and it would have deactivated as well.

I was on Active Duty with Mag-46 Det-A years ago and I wanted to look in and see how things where. They where gone. It kinda feels like an old girlfriend dying or something. Well, Good Luck and God Speed HMLA-467. You have some great aircraft to work with.
