Posting this for Gary
------------------------------------------

Hello, My name is Gary Trice. I am a USAF veteran of the Vietnam War. I am a member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #467. We are located on the old Ft. Chaffee reservation just east of Ft. Smith AR. I need some assistance, as I am acquiring on behalf of our Chapter, from the U.S. Army's Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command an AH-1 Cobra. At this time I don't know which model it will be as they are just now in the process of assigning an airframe to us. My number one problem is that I will have to remove the main rotor mast to road transport our snake from Ft. Drum N.Y. to Ft. Smith AR.

Can someone tell me how to remove the mast from the transmission and can two men lift it out or will we need some type of hoist. The main rotor blades will be removed for us, and I know how to remove the wings, but the mast I know nothing about.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide me!

Sincerely;

Gary K. Trice
