Back in 1980 or so, I passed on my "lucky wings" to (then) 1/Lt Gary Reinhold @ HMH-463 in HI. They had been given to me by Vince Ernst, an associate and fellow USMC Pilot with Wimpy Whimmler, way back when. They were "so" original that a goldsmith probably coulda set the date of their casting. Anyways, I doubt if he is still in the USMC, but would like to know if he passed them on to another young, promising and inspiring aviator as he was requested to do so (by me).
