I served in Nam with HMM-261 in 65-66 as a crewmember. Iflew many medevacs wasin operation starlite and others i guess. But to keep this short . How do prove to the VA that I was in combat?

You should have noted on your DD-214 that you either were awarded Combat Air Crew Wings or you earned an Air Medal. Neither of those are awarded other than for combat ops.

I think you were right beside me Earl,,, I was in 261 and on Starlite as well,, I was in the crew on EM-19.

Your DD-214 is proof in it's self,, I used to be a certified Veterans Service Officer educated in Washington Law College back in,,,, A long time ago,, (90's) if I can help you drop me an e-mail,, or a TX,, I am usually out in our kennel working with our mutts..
