I have a strong appreciation of the sacrifice all our soldiers make and especially those who served in vietnam. I was just a boy when it ended and have been brought up to honor those who serve their country. I read and watch quite a bit on the subject but the information is always about those at the top levels of the military or government and is slanted to the left or right. I can never get a feel for how the ordinary soldier viewed his superiors or the overall mission.

Did the war seem to take a change for the better after General Abrams took command. Any direction or comment you can give me to search this out would be appreciated.
