Great video of a CH 53 piloted by a former Raging Bull, LtCol Robert Guay.
CH-53A Aerobatics
Saw the video, I mean film, in 1967 while stationed at El Toro. Fast forward to Phu Bai, 1969 with a CH-47 parked out front. A sergeant attached to the Army helo was absolutely positive a helicopter with a fully articulated rotorhead could never do what the H-53 did. He remained unconvinced.

3 Main Blades
There is also a film where the 53 flew with only 3 Main Blades ! The Sikorsky Test Pilot (an Marine Reserve Major< cant remember his name!) Had special preparations for the inverted part of the flight. He also had made the first such flights prior to instructing & flying with LtCol Guay . That test Pilot was our Maintenance Officer back at MCAS Santa Ana back in 1954. He was a WW2 Pilot that got dropped from active duty from the Reserves when he had about 19 Years & 6 months on his retirement status. SF PM
