I crewed 157663 with HMM-261 in 1970. Not to far down the production line from this aircraft!

Clausen's bird
The Mike Clausen bird, was just repainted in Charlotte after it's cosmetic restoration in to 1970 configuration and it, too, got the high gloss paint job! We struggled along with JP-4 and hydraulic fluid to keep ours shiny, back in the day! LOL! We were never even close to this beauty!!

Clausen ACFT
Not bad for a bird who broke it's back being hauled under an overpass, needed two heads, blades and a bunch of other parts.
Super well done to the crew at the Carolinas Museum and all those that have donated time or $$ for the restoration.
