Gotta speak up for the UH34Dog....... Flew over 1000 missions in RVN in the Dog. Majority of them at night. I got to know the Dog very well.....
When it came to rotor blades, I checked the BIM indicators on every pre-flight. But, when it came to close zones I knew that the 34 could cut down trees 2" in diameter and less with no problem.......Long as you didn't get the tips and loose the weights.
I cut many trees with the Dog and it performed like a great Sikorsky should....... I even have videos of one of my rotor blades after a night med-evac. The blade has 5 bullet holes in it and in the video it shows 5 patches of "Rotor Blade Tape" covering the holes---------Yes I flew it again the next day...
I'll take the Dog anyday.......
