I am a CH-46E pilot with MAWTS-1 in Yuma, AZ. This coming Wednesday we will be flying the first phrog to the Davis Mothan bone yard in Tuscon. Thought you guys might be interested. Surely you don't mean the 1st 46 to the boneyard? I remember taking A bunch (8-10) of 46's to Davis-Monthan back in '69.

in Vietnam. Damaged in Afghanistan. Will be sent to the Marine Corps Museum Historical Branch
for display. was at one time modified to CH-46E, and is now at CHAC Air Museum
in Charlotte, NC.

HMM-T just sent a 46E to the bone yard last month as well. I can post up the BUNO if interested.

CH-46's to the Boneyard

The first CH-46 into Davis Monthan was a CH-46A (152501) on the 13th of July 1971. Most were stored for a while before heading to NARF Cherry Point for reworking and RTS.
