My info is that 160112 and 160812 were the two -T shot down another source ("US MIL - United States Military Aircraft Serials" 1993 edition) has 160112 and 160812 as W's.

Were those two birds recovered and rebuilt?

Thanks and Semper Fi,
Ryan

First let me thank you very much for the wonderful work you did for this project.

I did inspect the wreckage ashore , both Aircraft were a total loss. They were replaced within a few days, while we (HMM-261 / 22 MAU) were still in Action at Grenada.

The AH-1T Aircraft shot down over the water was recovered from St. Georges Bay only to retrieve our own two KIA Marines.
