  • Update on Jim Rinehardt (9-21-12)

I talked with Jim this morning and he said he felt like a pin cushion. More needles in him than when he got his Marine Corps shots.
The bone marrow biopsy came back, according to Jim "not good". They took some more tests and biopsy's and waiting for results.

Jim said he'd be getting some chemotherapy which is the preferred treatment option for his leukemia. Jim said another treatment option is immunotherapy, which uses your body’s immune system, either directly or indirectly, to fight cancer. another method would be stem cell transplant including autologous or allogeneic peripheral blood or bone marrow transplantation.

Jim is in really good spirits and is prepared for this battle like he was for all those battles in Nam. He would like to receive phone calls, e-mails from his brothers in between naps and treatments. He also said no flowers.... cards and chocolate is just fine.
    Jim's home address is:

    Cell Phone 847-652-8550
