From JD's son- Note his comment about "needing space." A lot of activity at the hospital with fellow Marines in the area as well as all the folks from his second career as a Fire Fighter. It's tough, but JD and the family need some space as well as prayers. I'll provide updates as I receive them from his son.

"I want to thank everyone for all the heartfelt concern for my dad. He has come down with a pretty severe bout of pneumonia and will be spending a few days in the hospital. Those of you that know JD know he's a tough SOB and will fight through this. I understand how many lives he's touched and how much love many of you have for him. However the medical staff and I are asking that until he gets his strength back that we give him a little space to recover. He's showing some signs of improvement and his doctors are optimistic. Again, thank you all for your concern and well warms my heart to know how loved he is by so many of you. Send some prayers and good thoughts his way and he'll be back on the golf course in no time.
