Terms of Use Agreement

1.     Jerry Leon Hester, 63, of Winston, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary Elizabeth Hester, mother Wanda Hester, two sisters, three children, and 10 grandchildren. Jerry served in the U.S. Marines from June 1966 - June 1970 where he received two Bronze Stars with combat “V”, a Purple Heart and many other Medals, Commendations, and Awards. Following his Honorable Discharge, he continued in public service with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement as a Lieutenant in 1996. Medford-Peden Funeral Home, Marietta, GA, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 20, 2012, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia, on Friday, July 20, 2012, at 1:30 pm.
