  • Hml/hmla167 memorial

First off, let me say that I was never a member of 167; I was in VMO-6 and we completed our Memorial errection and dedication in May 2012. There was a trememdous outpouring of our squadron members and a considerable number who I had not reunited with since leaving Nam in 1968. I was/am fortunate enough to have been able to generously contribute to our Memorial and since its dedication moved me so, I have undertaken to supporting your efforts.
Now, for the challenge, I have already contributed to the 167 Memorial Project and am just now completing another donation of $250; my challenge is for ALL "Skid Kids" (if at all monetarily possible) to match that amount. I have just received a letter from the 167 MEMORIAL Fund committee indicating that they have only reached 30% of the goal necessary to complete the MEMORIAL.
I feel it is in our/your interest to help complete this task. Please visit their website: for a lilnk to their Home page, donation form, etc.
