    First Tiltrotor Combat Aircrew Wings

From: "Rock LtCol Paul J (ACE VMM-263 CO)" paul.rock@aa.mnf-wiraq.usmc.mil

On 28 Jan 08, VMM-263 awarded the first two Combat Aircrew Wings to be earned by MV-22B Osprey crew chiefs. Sergeants Michael Aguilar and Christopher McGuire earned this designation over the past four months of combat assault support sorties during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Both of these gents are solid Marine NCOs and we are proud of their accomplishment.

The two Marines, Sergeants Aguilar and McGuire, are on their way home to participate in the next WTI class and we wanted to get them winged prior to their departure. In addition to the awardees, also in the pic are me (flight suit) and VMM-263's SgtMaj: SgtMaj Grant VanOostrom.

    S/F,
    Rocket
