    Captain Alaniz was a POP A SMOKE member , he was 32 years old from Corpus Christi, Texas.

    Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing

    He Died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutba Iraq, on January 26, 2005
