While flying a Stinson OY-2 (Bureau Number 03991) on August 26, 1950, 1STLT Harold J. DAVIS, USMC, and 2NDLT Patrick G. SIVERT, USMC, were hit by AAA and crashed. 2NDLT Sivert was rescued; 1STLT Davis was also rescued but severely injured and died in a hospital two days later.
